About me

My journey to becoming a psychotherapist is driven by my interest in the human condition and what it means to be a person in this world. In life, we are ‘thrown’ into the world and must find our way forward under the circumstances we find ourselves in.

This is where I believe psychotherapy comes in. To engage in therapy in to open up a conversation with another about the nature of our reality and how to navigate the complexity of life, finding support in the connection and using it to better understand ourselves and what we want out of life.

I have been trained largely in the existential psychotherapeutic approach, which involves western philosophy predominantly informing the therapeutic practice, but I choose to work integratively, incorporating elements of existential, psychodynamic, transpersonal, and humanistic psychotherapy into my practice, taking a unique, intuitive approach. I also have a keen interest in eastern spirituality, something that has been compounded by living in Southeast Asia.

I offer therapy in the English language, and I work with a broad range of cultures, religions, and backgrounds. I am based in Bangkok, Thailand, but work with clients internationally through online therapy.

I am originally from Auckland, New Zealand, but much of my studies have been in London in the UK. I am a counselling psychologist registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and am in the process of completing my doctorate degree at the New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling (NSPC) in London, UK.

Prior to starting my private practice, I had the experience of working for three years in the UK-based placements The Awareness Centre and Headstrong, wherein I saw a broad range of clients coming to therapy for a variety of different reasons.
